Over the next week, I’ll be highlighting Preceptors’ insights and suggestions on Practice Management. Learn about our Abbotsford-Mission & Chilliwack Residents’ perspectives, needs, and ideas on Transition to Practice here!

This event is family friendly and open to any preceptors who want to come. Last year we had attendees from such far flung reaches as Bella Coola, Saltspring Island, and Inuvik and are hoping for a similarly heterogeneous group this year.

If you have any questions please contact Christel Deas, who’s the point person for this event.

Sincerely,

Description: Medical education is initiating a shift in the preceptor-resident dynamic and encouraging more of “coach approach” to the relationship. The intentions behind this transition are to support and further develop learners through identifying needs, creating a plan, goal setting, and self-monitoring. In this session, we will assess our coaching experiences and skills as well reflect on how our sense of purpose and value system informs the ways in which we interact with and guide others.

Looking forward to seeing you!

Warmly,

Jacqueline
