Greetings! Check out Dr. David Hindin’s new YouTube Series on Why Your Doctor Should Daydream. I’ve shared above the recent episode on Imagination, Design, and the Future of Healthcare featuring ER Physician, Dr. Bon Ku, and his Health Design Lab at Jefferson University. What a wonderful space they’ve created to support physicians’ desire to further explore and tinker with their ideas as well as solve the challenges they face. Innovation in medical education! Hope you are well! Our UBC Curriculum Committee recently engaged in a discussion on procedural skills, their learning objectives, and the evaluation of Residents’ performance. I’d like to share these resources that may support you in further developing your pedagogical framework as well as provide you with an assessment template:

Performance Assessment: This session focuses on pulling together assessment data collected on a learner to complete a summative assessment that denotes achievement to date and also provides effective narrative feedback for future development.

Teacher’s Toolbox Update

Greetings!

Good news! Our Teacher’s Toolbox meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by UBC CPD for up to 6.0Mainpro+ credits. In addition, this course is an Accredited Group Learning Activity eligible for up to 6.0 MOC Section 1 credits as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Also, if you plan on attending, register soon and please secure your hotel room at the Executive Suites. Deadline to receive the preferred rate is Tuesday, August 29, 2017!
