Hope you are well! I wanted to share with you a couple of things this week.At our last meeting, we discussed holding one final gathering in 2019 or meeting early in 2020. Our agenda this next meeting is to finalize the elements of our profiles, sketch a few frameworks around goal options, and determine what success would look like as we prepare to launch this peer coaching initiative.
Please visit the doodle poll for options and RSVP by Monday, November 25th.
2. Thank you to all that participated in our meeting on November 5th. We have uploaded the video and would like to share it with those that were unable to attend. I’ve forwarded this out via email. If you have any viewing issues, please feel free to contact me.
3. In my prior email, I shared the article “What Teachers Want – The Potential for Peer Coaching” (2019) by Koppul & Babenko.
Here’s another recent piece that was just published on “Twelve tips for providing feedback to peers about their teaching” (2019) by Newman, Roberts, & Frankl.
Other resources include:
Atul Gawande’s TED Talk “Want to get great at something? Get a coach“.
Dr. Les Foltos TEDxManitoba Talk “Peer Coaching 21st Century Teacher Skills“.
I’ll send an update as to the results of the doodle poll next week! Thank you again to all of you for participating in this project and sharing your insights and ideas.
