“On March 3, 2020, UBC medical students gathered in Vancouver, Prince George, Victoria and Kelowna to celebrate the results of Match Day – the first round of the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS), which pairs final-year medical students with residency programs in communities across Canada.
Join us as we share in their excitement and learn more about the next steps for a few of these students.” via UBC Faculty of Medicine

“All three of the major ranking bodies consistently place UBC among the best universities in the world. In the Times Higher Education (THE) rankings, for example, we placed 34th in the world (2nd in Canada) and 19th among public universities in the most recent survey. THE also ranked us as the most international university in North America and among the top three universities in the world for making a global impact.”

Our family physician & UBC faculty curriculum lead, Dr. Thanh Luu, and I wrap up our lessons on Communicable and Noncommunicable Diseases at our local elementary school. What a brilliant and beautiful group of learners! I encourage all our family physicians to connect with our public schools and offer to teach them about medicine and health. These kids genuinely appreciate and love having doctors in their classroom.
Be the change,
Jacqueline
