Teacher’s Toolbox Update


Good news! Our Teacher’s Toolbox meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by UBC CPD for up to 6.0Mainpro+ credits. In addition, this course is an Accredited Group Learning Activity eligible for up to 6.0 MOC Section 1 credits as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Also, if you plan on attending, register soon and please secure your hotel room at the Executive Suites. Deadline to receive the preferred rate is Tuesday, August 29, 2017!


Teacher’s Toolbox: Sea to Sky Retreat

Greetings Preceptors and Residents!

I have fantastic news! The UBC Faculty Development Team is joining our Sea to Sky Retreat and relocating Teacher’s Toolbox this year up in Squamish!

Join us for the UBC Teacher’s Toolbox: Sea to Sky Retreat hosted by UBC’s Family Practice Residency Program!

This event welcomes all Preceptors and Residents of the UBC Family Practice Residency Program to explore topics including Indigenous Health & Wellbeing; Cultural Sensitivity, Safety, & Competency; Clinical Reasoning; Evidence-Based Medicine; and more!

The schedule includes a complimentary Preceptor Appreciation Dinner Saturday night and significant personal time for attendees to explore the beautiful Squamish area (don’t forget your hiking shoes, mountain bike, or SUP!). Please join us for interactive and engaging discussion about resident training, all set amongst the rugged backdrop of the Sea to Sky corridor!

Location: The BlueShore Environmental Learning Centre at Cheakamus Centre, Squamish.
Accommodations: Executive Suites Resort, Squamish. Be prepared for mountain weather!
